Clinics provide a greater range of learning experience for each student. Greater skill development can be accomplished in a shorter time frame working in stations. A station is designed to teach a specific skill and each goalie rotates to a new station in turn. No time is wasted....
Proven Methods, not hours of private lessons ....
Learning comes in all different forms. Competition is key, video demonstrations, question and answer, then we hit the ice for practice.... particularly suited for the younger goalies.
These younger athletes have shorter attention spans. They require emotional stimulation through competition, visual stimulation through videos and watching others, & physical stimulation during practice in the clinic environment. Only this clinics style enviornment can offer all these. Private Lessons only offer practice at a very high cost.
Coaching Philosophy
Goaltending is more of an art form than a science. Each goaltender is unique in ability. I look at each of them by strength and weakness, not right or wrong. I work to help each goalie find there own style using their abilities most effectively. For example, they are all working the same set of drills, but I am instructing each of them slightly different depending on their own unique strengths and weaknesses.
They learn from each other by watching each other....
